I may have grown up on Vancouver Island but Nelson quickly became home. I live here with my husband, Alex, and when I'm not out getting to know the dogs of Nelson, you can find me learning to whitewater kayak, knitting, reading, or out exploring. 

I’ve been told that I have a special connection with animals all throughout my life and I am very grateful for the trust owners put in me to take care of their beloved pets. I grew up alongside our cat, Sashi, who was sure to hop onto your lap the moment you sat down, and after many pleading requests for more animals, my parents eventually agreed that we could get a dog (but not a horse). Well, one dog turned into two and Tweed and Moka were the most amazing border collies to grow up with. I loved attending their training sessions and they were incredibly smart, caring animals. 

In my professional life, I have done many things. As a young adult, I completed a professional ballet program in Vancouver, BC. I managed a fitness studio for 4 years and I've worked as a Camping and Hiking Expert, offering gear suggestions and advice. Running The Sidekick Crew is my full time job and I couldn't be more excited and grateful to spend my days offering care to your sidekicks.
